Phytotherapy

When medicines are produced from plants or parts of plants and follow medical and scientific principles, we speak of phytotherapeutics.

The use of medicinal plants goes back as far as humanity itself. In every culture and on every continent, people have tried to achieve relief or healing with medicinal plants.

Medicinal plants can be used in various ways, be it as a tea made from leaves, flowers or roots, as a tincture in aqueous or alcoholic form, essential oils, ointments, compresses or in the form of finished medicinal products such as milk thistle capsules.

When medicines are produced from plants or parts of plants and follow medical and scientific principles, we speak of phytotherapeutics.

Plants contain a multitude of substances, so that the effect of medicinal plants cannot be attributed to a single substance, but unfolds through the interaction of many ingredients.

Phytotherapeutics differ from homeopathic medicines or food supplements. You can find more information about this here.
