Cardiology
Ultrasound, also known as echocardiography, is a non-invasive imaging technique that uses high-frequency sound waves to produce images of the heart. This technique plays a crucial role in modern cardiology as it allows doctors to assess the structure and function of the heart in real time.
Professor Leischik is a renowned cardiologist who has specialized in the use of ultrasound in cardiology. He has made significant contributions to the diagnosis and treatment of heart disease in his field. We work closely with him at his practice in Portocolom.
Echocardiography for the diagnosis of heart disease, assessment of heart function and emergency diagnostics
Do you have shortness of breath, chest pain, dizziness? A weak heart or diseased heart vessels can cause shortness of breath. Chest pain can also be caused by a narrow heart vessel. Dizziness can be caused by too low a pulse or the dangerous narrowing of the main heart vessel (main stem). Sudden cardiac death can then be the result. Dizziness can also be caused by a narrowing of the carotid artery.
Prevention is important: Prof. Leischik's modern cardiology practice is equipped with essential devices, including an ultrasound device for heart images, an ECG device for measuring electrical activity, Holter monitors for 24-hour monitoring, stress test devices, blood pressure monitors and laboratory technology for blood tests.
