Sports medicine

Sports medicine is an important specialist field that deals with the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of sports-related injuries and the promotion of athletic performance. Prof. Dr. med. Roman Leischik is a respected expert in this field and has made a name for himself as a sports physician.

In his practice, we offer you the opportunity to precisely determine your performance spectrum - e.g. using spiroergometry, lactate diagnostics and GPSports software.

Prof. Leischik has completed 7 Ironman long-distance races, 2 Abu Dhabi long-distance 3/200/20 races and 5 Ironman middle-distance races. He looks after many triathletes in training and with performance problems. Many athletes suddenly and unexpectedly develop atrial fibrillation, often due to overload, genetic disposition, myocarditis or untreated hypertension. This can have an even greater effect on the atrium due to the physical strain and can promote and trigger atrial fibrillation via the pressure load.

We will advise you on your performance goals and work with you to create a personalized training plan.
